Description
This painting shows the word Jerusalem with the letters USA in red, white, and blue. The word Jerusalem came into being long before there was a USA. It has the Lion of Judah, the American Flag and the flag of Israel. It also has a Torah with part of Isaiah 62 in Hebrew, a Menorah, David Ben Gurian, and President Truman both there forming the country of Israel after World War II. Jesus, the elements of the Last Supper, and the cross. Also sort of hidden in the background are the words Shalom- Peace. I had help choosing symbols from 2 Jewish ladies that I know in my painting class.
