Jesus refers to himself as the heavenly Bridegroom, and us as human beings who have given ourselves to Jesus, then, He becomes our Lord and Savior. Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and we are His bride. This painting tries to create that image. Of how Jesus loves us as a groom would a bride. I showed Jesus as King in heaven and the stained glass window is from my church. The Bride is us.
Poem on the back of Jesus and the Bride:
I’m immature and I make mistakes
Yet He tells me, He sees me through eyes of love.
My walk is awkward, yet
As Jesus loves me, He brings healing and
Wholeness to my soul.
He says, I claim you as my spotless Bride.
But, I have hurts, pain and sin to my name,
Yet he remembers my sin no more, I am forgiven.
His grace and mercy enfolds me as He declares
His love.
“You have stolen my heart my sister my bride;
You have stolen my heart with one glance
Of your eyes.” SS 4:9
I see, He is my heavenly bridegroom and I am
His bride
He envisions me as His pure spotless one.
One day we will meet in heaven and oh the joy of
Being with Him.
